Venture was a discount department store founded in 1970. Their headquarters were located in O’Fallon, MO and the first Venture store opened in Overland, MO. This retail chain operated over 70 stores in its heyday and expanded over various areas of the U.S. The majority of these stores being in St. Louis, Chicago, and Kansas City, Some advertising slogans you might remember are: “Saving with style” and “See what a little money can buy”. Unfortunately, Venture went bankrupt in 1998 and disappeared into memory.
